  • I went for brunch and not only was the food amazing and plentiful, but the drinks really were bottomless, and the servers were so nice. There was even a live pianist.

    I am going back.

  • My husband and I frequent Portalli’s. The food is very good and the service too! Their prices are reasonable. We absolutely love their buffet styled Sunday brunch. The shrimp is very good and they have a good variety.

  • My wife and I recently enjoyed a remarkable meal at Portalli’s in Ellicott City, Maryland. Our crab cake appetizers, pasta entrees, and decadent desserts were each and all culinary delights. And our waiter was both well-informed and appropriately attentive (but not overbearing). All things considered, this was one of our finest dining experiences in recent memory. And the bill, while not inconsequential, was most certainly reasonable for the value received.

  • A nice venue in old Ellicott City featuring very good Italian food at a reasonable price. The spaghetti and meatballs are outstanding as is their chicken and mushroom dish. Service is good but not overly attentive. A very nice place for couples.

On July 30th, historic Ellicott City was devastated by historic flash flooding. This storm claimed two lives and countless businesses on Main Street. Among the businesses destroyed was Portallis which is owned and operated by our good friends Evan Brown, Alan & Lee Biars, Keith Holsey and Jame Ingles.

It’s situations like these that highlight the strength of our community and what is possible when we work together for a common cause. Let’s seize this opportunity to show the Portallis family that they have our loyal support during the challenging road ahead!
